Oh, thank God it's Friday, again.

The last time I did this meme was a few years ago but still a Friday in September. As close to anniversaries as possible! Rewind and I hope some answers have changed. FYI/warning: this meme asks about memories, relationships (past and current), friends, daily life, interests among other stuff.

1) Some random girl comes up to you and says "Hey what's your name?" You say?
If it's at a party "Oh! Izzy. Yours?" If it's on the street "Uh, why? Do we know each other?"

2) What's the last thing you put in your mouth?
Literally, a toothbrush. Food-wise, pizza sandwiches and an A&W Root Beer (the best root beer ever!!!).

3) What does your last sent text message say?
"Hope the book is really good. I think the author may be on Livejournal." to unico_love

4) The last song you listened to?
The Hanna soundtrack by The Chemical Brothers in Matt's car. Probably "The Devil is in the Details," which he likes.

5) If you hated someone and got put in charge of their funeral music, what would you play?
Same answer as before:
I'd ask their best friend and play their favorite song. I wouldn't desecrate a funeral.

6) Where is your best friend right now?
His hometown in Illinois, probably. Maybe out with some friends or at work.

7) What did you do yesterday?
A full 9-5 day at the office learning how to make statements and updating Excel and using Eclipse. Then yummy chicken dinner with brownies and ice cream for dessert and some time online. And a restless night tossing and turning.


8) Pick a scar on your body - what did you do?
My last answer was my appendectomy scar. This answer, and I don't have a lot of scars, is faint on my knee. Caught it from "carpet" burn when it rubbed hard and a long time against the fabric-covered billboard in my dorm room. I definitely didn't notice it while it was happening. ;-)

9) What teacher have you hated most and why?
I still don't have a teacher I hated. I didn't enjoy any of Catherine's classes, though. She is a nice woman but she never clicked with me, I cried because of how overwhelmed I felt in his classes and I never felt she was the confiding type.

10) What do you want to do when you get out of high school/college?
FIND A JOB!!!!

11) How old is your mom?
Almost 54 years old.

12) What do you think really happened to Steve from Blue's Clues?
Same answer as before: What do these words mean?

13) Last time you were dumped?
My last break up was in 2008, but it was a mutual break up, of sorts. Our feelings definitely changed for each other but we didn't do officially end it until the end of the school semester when he left. But the last time I was dumped, a definite dumping where he wanted to end it and I didn't and it wasn't because of someone (me) moving halfway across the world? Early 2002, first boyfriend.

14) Who's your most religious friend?
Melany and Libby.

15) Who do you trust with your life?
Farah, Kyle, Lindsay, Matt, Beth, hana_ginkawa, Nikki.

16) If you could change your name to anything what would it be?
Same answer as before: Something that doesn't make people think I'm stuttering "My name is is Linda" instead of "My name is Izlinda."

17) What would you say if someone told you you were the most beautiful person in the world and they would do anything to wake up to your face each and every morning?
"... Are you proposing? For real?"

18) What do you hate about your school?
That I no longer attend it! I miss Beloit!

19) How often do you curse?
Same as before because I haven't changed in that aspect: A lot.

20) Do you trust all of your friends?
Depends what you mean by friends and "trust." Emotional trust? Physical trust? Survival trust? Financial trust? Online friends - in forums or blogs or chatting? Facebook "friends," some of which are more acquaintances than friends? Friends you're slowly losing touch with? I guess since I'm asking I can't say everybody in my life that I chose to include in my life is a good, close friend I would trust with everything...

That sounded cold...

21) Would you move to another state or country to be with the one you love?
My old answer used to be a flat-out "Yes." Now, though, being out of college and no longer have the moniker "international student" as part of my identity, I know how hard it is to move to another country, particularly if you haven't a visa or reason to live in the country (job, marriage?), or even have the money to move there in the first place. Still... Though Matt and I found each other as part of my path as an international student at Beloit and his path there and I didn't literally move to another country to be with him, I think trying to stay in this country is related to this question. He's not the only reason I want to stay here/not go back to Asia, but he is one of them. And putting down roots and trying to find a job in this economy is hard and different from my life as a transient student.

22) Do you believe that everything happens for a reason?
Same answers as before: Sometimes. Depends on my mood. Want to add: Though I don't really believe in fate or God, still, I am a little more inclined towards the statement "everything happens for a reason" for neutral events. Horrible things, I tend to be cynical about that.

23) Name two things you would NOT tolerate in a relationship?
Hah, my previous answer was such a disappointment. Hmmm. I'd have to say violence and theft. Oh, and finding out you were a rapist. Definite deal-breaker.

24) Which one of your friends do you think would make the best prostitute?
I still don't have a good answer for this one! If prostitution was legal everywhere, I can think some people who might have the personality that could fit with prostitution. Or maybe a porn star.

25) Are you afraid of falling in love?
Yeah, still, sometimes.

26) Is there someone that popped in your mind after that question?
Of course.

27) Would you stop talking to your friends because you hooked up with a new person?
Well, it hasn't happened strongly in my past relationships and this current one. Some friendships that have fallen apart were due to our own relationship with each other, not because I've a (new) boyfriend.

28) What features do you find most attractive in the opposite/same sex?
Same answer as before: The smile. Then when I get closer, the eyes. And to add: If we're talking about personality traits, compassion and humor. Also, this is a very heteronormative question!

30) What is a goal you would like to accomplish in the near future?
Get a job or a volunteer position that would help me with research experience.

31) If you were to wake up from being in a coma for an extended time who would you call?
Mmmm, Matt, if I haven't forgotten his mobile number and it's the same. Then Farah, especially if Matt has moved on to another relationship and we weren't committed committed forever (officially in marriage or seriously talking about it). Just how long is this extended time?

32) How many kids do you want to have?
My previous answer was "maximum 3." Now, looking at my lack of savings and lack of finding a job, I'd have to say "maximum 1" - biological or adopted.

33) Would you make a good parent?
Right now I'd suck at it.

34) Where was your default picture taken?
The Mulan and Mushu one on LJ was made by xonlyashesx. On InsaneJournal, the "Deep Sea Mermaid" was cropped from a painting by Andrea Stewart at www.vividreamsart.com. On Dreamwidth, the silhouette and shadow icon was photoshopped by viceice from a picture taken of me back in...wow, 2004?

Why haven't I been able to sleep well the past few nights?

37) If you could go back in time and change something, what would it be?
Dropping a class my final semester because I was overloaded.

Right now I wear 32D though some bra calculators tell me I should wear 30D or 30E. Very confusing.

Adidas trackpants and a long-sleeved Hanes sleep T-shirt. My brother-in-law bought me the latter.

Same answer: Righty.

Pretty sure I can if I can find my purse and confirm.

Same answer as before! My mommy's kitchen.

Right now it's my Kohl's boot-cut jeans (that had to be further hemmed from a short). But when I need to tuck my jeans in my winter boots, my straight leg jeans.

Pants, my boyfriend's brother's cat.

I suppose it's still apple though I don't drink it as much.

Same: Yep.

Nope, and I doubt I ever would unless it was for medical reason. Skin graft or burned badly, something like that.

Both, though I wear glasses most of the time and contacts when it's a formal occasion or out to a party.

Never had a pet!

No, though I am quite tired but still unable to fall asleep or take a nap.

I still like my boyfriend.

Well, considering my last official bed was at Beloit, Matt. Yep, at the apartment (when I'm not with Matt) I sleep on an air mattress.

Matt, when I fucked up our train travels.

Yep, fucked up the train travels last week Tuesday.

62) What are your plans for the weekend?
Staying in, maybe seeing Contagion. I hope to go downtown shopping or something but dunno.

Meh, not actively so, but I'm not actively depressed either. I feel a bit unsatisfied but I'm not bitching or crying.

65) Did anyone see you kiss the last person you kissed?
I think the last time I kissed Matt nobody was around to see us, but yes, a lot of people have seen us kiss during the past 2 years and 9 months. We even have a photo taken of us kissing in front of the Cinderella Castle at Disney World last summer. ♥

Yep!

I kick them.

68) Do you believe that if you want something bad enough you'll get it?
Heh, sometimes. But I think the proverb "Where there's a will, there's a way" is not completely true because circumstances and other people can just fuck up your plans and there are some things you just can't accomplish or do.

Not a lot, but there are several shows I follow.

No. A few times my parents were on a trip I stayed out.

Kill who(m?)ever is threatening people you care about. Or yourself.

Eat. I've been having insomnia for a while.

Quite a few people from different parts of my life who have never met each other.

I'm asleep when I'm asleep, yes? I wouldn't notice. But I guess others would.

Sometimes, if there is good food and I've an appetite.

It's a little harder to be, physically.

Same answer as before: Depends on my mood, who they are and what we're doing.

Right now, no, but I'm craving those jelly beans.

It really depends on what they did. For some things, definitely, yes. For others, like rape or a hate crime, no. I suppose I think of forgiveness as something that is in relation to the act that "needs" forgiveness rather than my own innate personality trait.

87) Do you walk with your eyes open or closed?
Same: Open... Add: Unless I'm sleepwalking, which I haven't done in a long time.

88) Would you ever share a girl/boyfriend with your best friend?
My boyfriend is straight. Kyle is a boy. My other close female friends... Well, I just don't see it happening. And with one person in particular it'd be ever so awkward.

Not to death, no.

Same answer: Well, I'm already in one. I want it to continue for a long time. Does that count?

Yes, and it is very frightening

My old answer was "Yes."
Now, I can't remember a time I fell down a set of stairs...

No.

I don't have interest in finishing this Ergo Proxy 1 Disc from Netflix. I really, really should. A llot of my downloadable library items will expire tomorrow and there's no way I can finish listening to (several) of them in time.
