You have eggs, sliced Italian bread, sliced salami, sliced mozzarella cheese and pizza sauce. You blend enough eggs to fill a large flat bowl and set that aside. Then you put the pizza sauce, slices of salami (sometimes we put as many as 5 on a sandwich) and cheese on the bread. Then soak the sandwiches in the egg, making sure to flip them so both slices get the egg. Then you fry them on a frying pan, again making sure to flip the sandwiches so it's about evenly cooked. The cheese sound melt to make the sandwich stick together and the pizza sauce should help with the sticking together-ness, too.
They're sooooo yummy!!!! It's one of two instances I'll eat pork.
