From Dreamwidth you can cross-post to one other journal (for free, more if you have the paid account). You can also archive your past LJ entries onto Dreamwidth. I usually cross-post using Semagic but when I'm away from my laptop I use Dreamwidth.

It's a little irritating the LJ server is under attack or overloaded a lot. Maybe Dreamwidth isn't because it's not as popular.

I wonder if Dreamwidth's fortuitious timing of the invite code is just a coincidence or they've been keeping tabs on LJ.
